There’s a Space for You

My darling sister, there is a space for you.

In my heart, in my mind, in my life and in my house, there is a space for you.

When you’re ready, will you come?

When you’re ready, will you come, step out of time and into this space, take a breath and feel?

Feel what needs to be felt?

I hold this space for you so you can find yours. A space for solitude and company, for laughter and bitter tears, for agony and relief. A space for hope and love and joy.

I hold this space for you my brave beloved sibling.

I see you running, twisting, turning, ducking. I know not the demon on your heels, but I can see its shadow in your eyes.

You are a most magnificent being, though, full of love and life and more courage than you give yourself credit for. So I know, eventually, you will be ready and you will stop. You will turn around, open your arms and embrace what is haunting you.

Just know that you have a space that is all yours when the time comes. When the shock of the impact is raw and big and almost too much to bear. When all logic has fled, decisions cannot be made and just breathing feels too painful.

You won’t need to call, or ask, just come and take up the space that is waiting for you, be that the one in my heart and mind or the one in my life and house, they are yours forever more.

I love you, precious gem.
